In the South Division focusing on the Southern California Region, our network of care includes acute hospital campuses, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care clinics, medical offices, home and community care agencies, and other essential services. In addition to these services, Providence also has a risk business involving population health, and partners with medical groups to ensure that the best quality of care is provided to our beneficiaries. For this fellowship track, you will work with the entire regional network of care from a hospital centered lens. Overall, our goal is to establish an integrated delivery network in order to uphold our Providence Promise to our patients.
The Southern California fellowship is seeking two highly motivated individuals for a 12-month fellowship focusing in one of our two project-based tracks: Strategy and Finance.
Strategy - This fellow will work closely with the strategy and business development teams. They will play a key role in implementing these important strategic initiatives such as Providence Promise, Patient Journey Mapping, developing an Integrated Delivery Network, and more. By participating in this work, the fellow will be exposed to the entire continuum of care - acute, ambulatory, medical groups, health networks, etc.
Finance - This fellow will work directly with the Regional Finance team which supports all 16 hospitals in the division and consists of 3 main teams which are Financial Planning and Analysis, Productivity, and Strategic Finance and Decision Support. Not only will the fellow able to learn from these three pillars, but the fellow will have the opportunity to explore non-finance related projects and enhance skills such as project management, data analytics, data engineering, operations, strategy, process improvement, and more. By the end of the fellowship, the fellow will have knowledge of the entire continuum of care - acute, ambulatory, medical groups, health networks, population health, etc.
