  • Internships

Most positive aspect by far was the people. I was so impressed by everyone's willingness to help and making sure that I felt supported. I also felt like I was challenged to do tasks that I didn't previously have experience in. Let alone industry experience. In doing so, I had just the right amount of support to guide my path while still feeling the autonomy. Lastly, I was able to get exposure across many different departments. This is exactly what I was looking to understand, and I felt lucky that each person was willing to offer introductions within their networks as well. I could seriously go on for another few paragraphs, but those were the three most positive aspects…I already had a favorable opinion of Providence going into the internship, but it truly feels elevated. I haven't experienced an organization that feels as close to the mission as Providence is. I'm also extremely impressed by how many intelligent people are working there. I learned something from everyone.

I thought Providence would emphasis religion more (and would have certain beliefs about health care) and they didn't in my department, which is always a pleasant surprise.

I think Providence is an awesome place to work. Most of everyone I met genuinely cared about my success and growth, and it's hard to say that about other places that I have worked. I already knew that I would be working for a great opportunity because of Providence's reputation, and my expectations were not let down…I have gained a plethora of skills, but the most that I am proud of are my data analysis skills. I am now able to use Excel VBAs and Macros which will come in great use for large datasets. I can also validate data via Excel. Additionally, I am able to use Power BI, which is a great business analysis tool and will be helpful for any future job.

I love the people. I love my team workers. We're very team-oriented so if you are drowning or if you need help, everybody jumps in and takes care of your patients as if they are their own patients.
