Providence Enterprise Fellowship

Providence is one of the nation’s largest faith-based, nonprofit health systems, serving communities across seven states through a broad continuum of care. Our organization includes hospitals, clinics, medical groups, ambulatory and community-based services, home care, and a wide range of support functions that advance clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate service. This system-level structure gives fellows visibility into how strategy, operations, and decision-making come together across markets, service lines, and care settings. Across the system, Providence is committed to delivering high-value care, improving the patient and caregiver experience, and responding to the evolving needs of the communities we serve.

The Providence Enterprise Administrative Fellowship offers master’s-level candidates a 12-month opportunity to build management and leadership skills through a broad range of experiences across the health system. Fellows receive mentorship from senior leaders while leading high-visibility projects that support Providence’s strategic priorities and reflect their interests. The program provides both in-depth and system-level exposure to how Providence serves its communities, and we seek two highly motivated, self-directed candidates interested in healthcare management and administration who will have completed—or will complete—their master’s degree by July of next year.

Structure

Two fellows will follow a hybrid model based in our Irvine, CA or Seattle area, WA office, working closely with C-suite executive leadership teams. Their projects will focus primarily on initiatives that affect Providence’s seven-state footprint. Each project-based track emphasizes healthcare strategy and operations and is supported by executive preceptors in those areas. Fellows will also be paired with an experienced manager who will provide personalized one-on-one support throughout the program. With both autonomy and guidance, fellows will be well positioned to grow into successful healthcare leaders.
