Medical Assistant Apprenticeship and Training Program
The Medical Assistant Apprenticeship/Training Program is a paid, on‑the‑job training program that prepares individuals for a career as a Medical Assistant. This accelerated program combines online classroom instruction through our didactic partner, Stepful, with hands‑on, supervised training in a Providence or Providence‑affiliated clinic. This integrated training model allows apprentices/trainees to develop essential skills through a combination of structured coursework and real‑world experience.
Participants are hired into benefitted roles and supported throughout their training, removing common barriers such as upfront education costs and positioning graduates to pursue national and state Medical Assistant certification. Rooted in Providence’s mission and commitment to equity, the program expands access to healthcare careers while supporting long‑term professional growth and high‑quality patient care.
