Sno-Isle Tech and New Market Skills Centers to provide Medical Assistant
and Nursing Assistant clinical partnerships. Contact your local school

Swedish participates in the annual Sound Careers in Healthcare event held
each spring. Educators are encouraged to utilize the
Health Leadership Industry Table (HILT) Career Video Library on YouTube as a healthcare careers exposure resource.

Opportunities Unique to North Puget Sound
Junior Volunteer Program
Junior Volunteer Program
Youth ages 14-17 commit 48 hours of service. In this role, junior volunteers
will be able to assist in the support and comfort of patients at the hospital,
as well as learn about and experience career possibilities in the healthcare
field. Participants in our junior volunteer program (depending on age)
have the opportunity to work at places like Rehab, Information Desk, Patient
Care Areas, Food Service, and Companionship Care Program. Visit

Opportunities Unique to South Puget Sound
School Partnerships
School Partnerships
Healthcare professionals from different disciplines participate in school
district-sponsored events at area middle and high schools to provide classroom
presentations, luncheon speakers and annual Career Days. To request a
school presentation and guest speaker, teachers can contact their local
Career and Technical Education coordinator.
Junior Volunteer Program
Junior Volunteer Program
Volunteer programs for students 16 and older give students the opportunity
and exposure to operations, patients and community members. Junior volunteers’
hours contribute to their community service requirements for HS graduation.
Students may use the general application to volunteer at

Centralia Hospital
